About the Role

Our Litigation team in Albany is seeking a motivated Solicitor or Senior Solicitor looking to advance their career in general civil litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys hands-on work and is keen to further develop their advocacy, negotiation, and strategic skills.

You will play a key role in all stages of the litigation process, receiving meaningful responsibility and exposure with support from an experienced, collaborative team. Your practice will involve:

Diverse Matters: Exposure to contractual disputes, property and construction issues, defamation, and negligence claims.
Advocacy: Involvement from the early stages of disputes with opportunities for courtroom appearances.
Growth: Direct client contact and early responsibility to fast-track your professional development.

About You

To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates that closely match this criteria:

1-4 years PQE with a sound knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
Language Skills: Fluency in Chinese (spoken and written) is considered a distinct advantage.
Technical Ability: Strong legal research and analytical skills to manage matters independently.
Communication: Confident negotiation skills and a commitment to high-quality client care.
Soft Skills: A professional, solutions-focused mindset with a collaborative, team-focused approach.

You must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand to be eligible for this position.
