A specialist workplace law firm with offices across the South Island, who advises a growing and diverse client base in employment, health and safety, and immigration law is looking for a Junior Solicitor to join the team. About the Role

We are looking for a graduate or junior solicitor to join their Dunedin office. This is an exciting opportunity to begin or develop your legal career in a well-respected specialist firm. You will work across all areas of the practice, including advising clients, preparing submissions, and representing clients in mediations and proceedings before the Employment Relations Authority.

You’ll also provide practical health and safety and immigration advice, supported by senior colleagues. The role offers meaningful responsibility from the outset, while ensuring you have the guidance and mentorship needed to grow.

About You

To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone who demonstrates the following:

  • A recent graduate or up to 2 years’ PQE
  • A Bachelor of Laws and a New Zealand Practising Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • A genuine interest in employment, health and safety, and immigration law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and attention to detail
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and within a team
