About the Role

We are seeking an Associate – Litigation / Family with 4+ years PQE to join our team in Wellington.

This role offers exposure to a wide range of litigation and family law matters, including work in the Family Court, District Court, and High Court. You will work closely with a Partner and experienced Consultant, with the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships and further develop your advocacy and litigation skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation and dispute resolution matters
  • Appear in Family Court and District/High Court proceedings
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Deliver high-quality legal services across varied matters
  • Contribute to business development and client growth
  • Collaborate with team members and utilise firm resources effectively
  • Maintain strong organisation and efficient case management

About You

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • 4+ years PQE in Litigation / Dispute Resolution
  • Strong experience in Family Court and District/High Court matters
  • Proven courtroom and advocacy experience
  • Excellent client service and relationship management skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work flexibly while maintaining consistent performance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and high professional standards
  • Team-oriented mindset with adaptability to change and technology
  • Interest and capability in business development
